Blair Township's Fire Department proudly protects 8,600 people living in an area of 36 square miles.
Blair Township voters approved a new fire station. They broke ground on the 14,000 sq. ft. project a while ago. The current facility is more than 30 years old, and was built for an all-volunteer fire department. Now Blair township have 13 full-time paramedic firefighters.
When the current station was designed and built, the Emergency Services Department – Fire Department and EMS averaged about 300 calls a year. Today they’re running close to 2500 calls a year. Size-wise, their current location they’ve completely outgrown it.
To complete the new fire station, Blair townshp purchased custom made turnout gear name plates. These plates purchased as a gift for the firefighters by Cheif Parker.
